What to Expect

When you arrive at our office, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, friendly environment by a close-knit team that truly enjoys caring for and getting to know our patients. Because we are a small practice, the sense of community we share with one another naturally extends to everyone who walks through our doors.

Your visit begins at the front desk, where our receptionist will greet you and gather your health and dental history. This gives you the opportunity to share your past experiences, medical backgrounds, and any concerns or questions you may have before we begin.

Most first visits include a new-patient cleaning, exam, and x-rays with one of our experienced hygienists. You’ll then meet with the doctor and together with your hygienist, you’ll form your own personalized dental care team. We take time to listen, review your history, and discuss your needs so we can create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

Our priority is addressing any immediate issues or discomfort. When possible, we aim to relieve pain or resolve urgent concerns the same day.

Further appointments are scheduled with the doctor and assistant at times that work best for you, allowing us to complete any additional care comfortably and conveniently.

In addition to keeping up with daily oral hygiene, brushing your teeth before your appointment helps to remove as much plaque as possible so we can focus on more urgent areas. For an easy, quick visit, it also helps to have your medical history and insurance coverage ready! Make sure to be honest about your current dental care methods as it is best to be honest so we know how to accurately improve your oral health!

Appointments can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the patient’s oral health. Our team is dedicated to thorough cleanings and examinations because we want to provide you with the utmost care. Although you are coming in for a cleaning, we also check your gums for any infection or disease and your teeth for cavities. We also keep up with regular X-rays that help our dentists be able to better serve you and give you the best care possible!
