Kennedy Family Dentistry is a private practice general dentist office that has been in the community for over 45 years!

Our mission is to provide high quality, compassionate, and personalized dental care to Chillicothe and its surrounding communities. We strive to maintain a standard of excellence that makes our patients feel confident in the care they receive.

We see all ages and provide a wide range of dental procedures. We know our patients well and collaborate with them to get their oral health where they want it to be and help keep it that way!

Dr. Kennedy

Dr. Kennedy graduated from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 2015 and is delighted to be carrying on the private practice tradition Dr. Upperman created in 1974. She is proud to have an office that focuses on integrity, quality, and patient relationships.

Dr. Kennedy grew up in Chillicothe and graduated from Zane Trace in 2006. She and her husband moved back to Chillicothe in 2019 and are now raising their children here. When she isn’t at the office, she is spending time with her family and friends, making lists, organizing something, or looking for an excuse to throw a party.

Dr. Kennedy loves dentistry and the art and detail that go into it. Dr. Kennedy takes a great deal of pride in all of her work and it is her goal to make sure every patient feels well cared for. She believes in treating each and every patient as a unique individual and the same as she would a friend or family member. It is her goal to make dental visits as pleasant as possible.

Honoring Our Founding Dentist

Dr. Upperman

-Founding Dentist

Dr. Upperman founded our practice in 1974, the same year he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. For over 40 years, he built a reputation on his unwavering commitment to doing his best for others, forming strong, lasting relationships with his patients, and serving the Chillicothe community with care and integrity.

During his career, Dr. Upperman loved the dynamic nature of dentistry and the daily challenges it brought. He created a patient-centered practice where people could feel confident and comfortable, and where the team truly loved coming to work.

A lifelong learner and active member of his community, Dr. Upperman met his wife, Fran, at Asbury College, and they married in 1968. They moved to Chillicothe and raised three children, and today enjoy time with their grandchildren.

Since retiring, Dr. Upperman continues to stay busy and creative. He enjoys woodworking, spending time with family, and has recently discovered a love for baking homemade breads—so much so that he even stops by the office to share his creations with the team! His warmth, energy, and dedication continue to inspire everyone at the office!
